2023 Honda Pilot: engine and transmission complaints
NO ELEVATED SIGNAL
22%
23 of 103 relevant owner complaints are about the engine, transmission or fuel system
No elevated drivetrain complaint concentration in the available NHTSA records for the 2023 Honda Pilot. Engine, transmission and fuel system account for 22% of relevant complaints.
Better than 83% of the 1,230 model years we track (2010–2023).
Excludes 35 airbag, lighting and seat-belt recall complaints that would otherwise mask the signal (unadjusted: 17%).
Manufacturers fix things mid-generation. A bad year next to a clean one is common; the fix usually arrived in between.

The result was excessive internal engine clearance and cylinder wall damage. Engine cylinder piston block hole…

Honda Part #80872-SN7-003 failed at 3years and 40,000 miles which Honda will not cover under warranty. This is a simple O-Ring for the AC line which has a life span of 10-15 years. Apparently this has been common on 2023-2025 Pilots and passports and thus should be a recall issue.
