Persistent lifter/valvetrain tapping noise, particularly around 1,500 RPM. 2022 Yukon 88,000 miles. Engine consumes more than 2 quarts of oil in between oil changes. Was told by dealer in the past that this was in normal range.

Ask the seller whether the engine has ever been repaired or replaced, and whether the car has shown stalling, loss of power, rough idle, oil consumption or a check-engine light.
Drive it from a cold start and long enough to warm up. Many engine faults hide once the car is warm.
